The infamous “Bloody Lane” or “Sunken Road” on a most beautiful autumn day.
Orientation: west by northwest, and the next range over is across the Potomac River. Subject: Mumma Farm. Observation: why Antietam National Battlefield Park may be regarded among the most, perhaps the most, pristine of preservation projects within the National Parks system of historic sites. Photography: Nikon D2x; Nikkor 60mm (macro); 62mm CP; Adobe Lightroom 3.6.
Antietam National Battlefield Park has been noted as the most preserved of historic landscapes and “view sheds”, but even so, its arrangements include privately worked farmland.
